Our Story and Mission:

My name is Jay Carvalho, and I've been blessed to call Santa Rosa Beach my home for my entire life. Growing up along these beautiful beaches, I've developed a deep passion for surfing, a sport that has not only shaped my lifestyle but also my purpose.

For the past eight years, I've been fortunate enough to share my love for surfing by teaching lessons to eager students of all ages and skill levels. I have also acquired several certifications, including a freediving certification and a lifeguard certification with CPR/EMR training. These experiences have equipped me with the skills and knowledge to ensure a safe, fun, and quality learning environment for everyone who takes a lesson with us.

Our surf school, located in the heart of Sandestin, is more than just a business—it's a dream come true. We work closely with the resort to provide top-notch surf lessons and experiences for visitors and locals alike.

Despite the breathtaking beauty of our coastline, I've always felt that our area lacked a strong surf community. This realization inspired me to start this surf school with the goal of fostering a larger surfing culture right here on the Emerald Coast.
